The viewscreens have been full of palaver, lauding the formation of the Iraqi "government" as a watershed event, saying "surely, in the sight of this, democracy is blooming in Iraq, and everything up to this point is now officially worth it."

Okay- first off- I watched the MSM media, today, and the only mentions of Camp Casey, have been buried in reports about the "massive" pro-Bush rallies that have descended upon the area. CNN's reportage (such as it is) of the incidents in Crawford, has been particularly inane. (more...)

I dunno if ya'll remember a character that played a memorable star media role during the invasion of Iraq. The Iraqi Information minister, Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf, made a name for himself by brazenly going before the cameras every day, and delivering constant glorious news about how Iraq was winning the war.
