HUNDREDS MARCH TO SUPPORT TROOPS IN DC

Now- before you get all riled up about the low figure cited- the article was all about the pro-war freeper counter-protest, giving only a few sentences of mention to the hundreds of thousands who were ALSO marching "to support our troops." The article neglected to mention that these sad, sick bastards "supported the troops", by supporting a war that has long since turned into a meatgrinder for both Iraqis and Americans, whereas we felt the best way to support the troops was to ensure that this unconsitutional, immoral war is brought to an end, as soon as possible.

Is there any paper that doesn't use the AP as a wire source? I feel a boycott brewing within me...

Rush Limbaugh has obviously dipped back into the oxycontin- today, he claimed that the UPJ protest drew 30 people, total. Strange, I counted 30 people waiting in line in front of me to use the port-a-potty, during a break from the march. Again- maybe I've been brainwashed, but I could have SWORN I saw more than 30 people- after all, Rush is always right...

Secondly, Bush, the coward, dissappeared, during the march, ostensibly to "monitor hurricane Rita". In a frenzied effort to make bush appear "in control" during Rita landfall, Rove plunked Bush a safe 1000 miles away in Colorado, trussed up in his "flight suit mark 2": the hastilly-buttoned work shirt, with his sleeves rolled up, lookin' all ruff n' tuff n' ready for the impending crisis.

Naturally, the folks who were ACTUALLY in charge of the hurricane monitoring wouldn't let anyone incompitent as Jesus Jr anywhere NEAR their sensitive equipment, fearing that he'd spill his half-melted Jim-Beam-laced Icee on their workstations. So, Bush retreated away from the cameras, to watch the football game, while stuffing himself with pork rinds and pretzels that had been carefully de-salted by his secret service detail.

Ya know- I find my job so damned easy, these days, with this site- Bush's presidency is effectively over, and I feel like I'm throwing dirt on dirt. But, I know that the Bush bowl continues their war against the american people, even as I type this update. As I stated before, even if Bush's approval rating descends into the single-digits, he will continue with his ruinous policies, without so much as a heartbeat's hesitation. After all- there are still millions of working poor to be driven into poverty. There are other wars to start. More arabs to kill. More americans to marginalize. More taxpayer dollars to squander. More tax cuts to the wealthy that desperately need passing.

But I will address these concerns, in coming days.

For tonight, I will leave you with another photograph of one of the long-haired, dope-smoking communists that I marched with, this last saturday:
